A man calling himself Officer Jack Phillips called and said I had an unsettled lawsuit for an online loan from the past. He ordered me to immediately send him $525 to settle the matter. He had a very thick Indian accent and was very rude and evasive. I told him repeatedly that I needed written proof of the debt before I was going to send him any money. He told me that he would not send proof and that I was going to be arrested and fined $1,000 if I didn’t pay up immediately. I reported the matter to the local police department. The Indian man refused to answer any of the police officers questions on the phone and hung up on him. He would not stop calling even after the cops were on him. He called about 20 times Nov. 29, 2011. It got to the point that I had to block the number using star 60. Delete
