8 texts said they knew me, but tried to call back number and it said it was a disabled number?

miss calls received from this number. Number not known to me.

A consumer from Oregon has reported 5034988299 to the FCC on 2019-11-18

Said they show a charge of $999 on my Amazon account and they need the last 4 of my credit card to cancel the order if I didn’t place the order. When I told them that I don’t show that order anywhere on my account they hung up.

They and don’t say anything then hang up

Hung up as soon as i answered. Called the number back and cannot receive incoming calls.. Scam

To understand a ROBOCALL: a computer just dials numbers .. -5800, -5801, -5802, etc. (Ever watch the original WAR GAMES movie?) .. When they come across a number that has been disconnected, they edit their Caller ID to look like that number and dial that block of numbers (over and over again) .. no person is actually doing this, a computer is. Just write a simple script and BAM! .. you can spam-dial / robocall hundreds of numbers in a minute. If you change your number, you will still get them. Just never answer them.
