Contact your useless Congressman and insist they go after the 'carriers' allowing these companies to keep placing unwanted calls. They have the technology but not the motivation to stop this cheap crap! Fire the useless Congressman (vote them out) if they don't act.

Intimidation tactics and blackmail threats

Got a call from 1-877-900-9449 tonight during dinner. The lady spoke the worst possible English and the connection was obviously overseas or a sattelite phone. She claimed that she was calling on behalf of the Canadian government. I told her I couldn't understand her and could she please speak English. She said she was calling on behalf of the Canadian government about an outstanding tax bill, which I don't have one so I told her to stop calling and hung up.
