The number looked funky so I picked up phone and immediately hit mute button so they can't hear my side, listened (it was a live person, but I wasn't going to say anything), then hung up. If you pick up the phone then immediately mute, it makes them think there's something wrong with the connection. 9 times out of 10 we never get a call back from that number.
