Caller said they represented Discovery Credit Card and requested my birth date and social security number and other personal data so that they could activate the credit card I had been preapproved for. Further investigation identifies this number as a land line but not a commercial or business.

I received a call from this number. I silenced the ring and when I checked my messages there was nothing. I thought it might be a wrong number, but when I checked here I see that other people searched for it as well.
