National Rifle Association using a local telephone number

we keep on receiving rings with this no. & just needed more information.

this number keeps on phoning subsequently hanging up before anybody can reply the phone. This number rang three times in thirty mins during DINNER.

In what city do you live Rob? I've been trying to track the owner of that number down. I did a paid Intelius search on the owner, but after two days they cancelled the search and refunded the money due to 'no information for that number.' Does anyone else out there know how to track or find out who an 866 number belongs to?

we had 2 telephone rings with a 712 no., subsequently a sms with a 402 no. informing us to ring this 866 no. None of this made sense, however this mentioned these people were with social security, & the sms made absolutely no sense, therefore we suspect phishing.
