Have taken a report for area senior citizen that received a call from EMT Medical claiming that they have won $450,000.00. The people that call, up to 15 times per day, area asking to have $150.00 sent in order to get the prize money released.I am a Detective with the Sheriff's Office, and I have checked into this phone number. This call is a total scam to attempt to do one of 2 things. They are trying to get the people to send them money, or to return their calls on this phone number. If you call them back, your phone bill will be charged a very high rate for the phone call. The 876 area code confuses a lot of people into thinking that it is a toll free call. This area code is for the country of Jamaica, and a direct phone call will add potentially hundreds of dollars to your phone bill.
