Scammer Beware!

Said that there was fraudulent activity on my SSN

I received calls over the weeks as this group represented themselves as Dish Network. The man I spoke with had an Indian accent and was very aggressive. He told me his name was John and was calling from LA, not Bradenton FL. I finally told him I wasn't interested now (as communicating was difficult) and had his name and number and would call him. He simply hung up!

Here a copy/paste of a useful comment I saw elsewhere; I'm getting calls from 973 273 78xx (last 2 digits varies). Then I figured out how to stop the phone calls; send an email to [email protected]; give the caller's phone number (to verify the do not call request will be effective) and your receiving phone number (to remove it from the caller's list) and it'll stop the phone calls.

Yes, called back and asked them to remove my number. (They have called non stop for days. Same recorded spam message.) He hung up on me.
