THEY CALL ME AND WHEN I ANSWER THERE IS NI RESPONSE..HAVE DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES TO ME. WHEN I CALL BACK SOME PLAYS WITH THE BUTTONS UNTIL WE ARE DISCONNECTED.

they leave a message saying it is regarding a tax matter. no company name, etc. so this is clearly fake

Like this and all robo calls the numbers are spoofed . The person or company that the Number might belong to is not likely the person doing the calling . There is no mandate for a company to use the do not call list . It has become worthless. It used to work better when actuall people made all these calls . A call To Someone who has no intention of buying (that is why you put yourself on the list ) was a waste of time and money. Robo calls are so cheap , no human is involved in making those calls that marketers can make 10000’s of calls for little money
