Called me and tried to call back number not in service

I received a text message from this number. They knew my name and my address and asked me how much I want to sell my house for even though it is not for sale.Obviously a scam.

Number calls and says they are calling about my credit card. It´s a machine. Says hit 1 to talk to a person. Then person comes on says they want to talk to you about your card rate. I told them I didnt have one. They immediatly hung up. It´s a phishing scam.

This no. rang our ex brother in law who we havent spoken to for twenty years & informed them these people are attempting to get ahold of us cos there was a federal investigaion on us & provided them a case no. & this pone no. to ring back. who are they? we did have a pay day loan years ago, & we see that others have complained of this.
