Money scam. Threat to stop service unless paid

I have received several calls from this number over the last week.    It rings and rings.if I dont answer, there is no message left.    If I do answer, it immediately disconnects.    ANNOYING and, really, is this necessary?    Cant help but wonder if its one of those things you read about in emails that get passed around.where someone calls continually (faking their caller ID number) to figure out when the house is vacant.    Whatever the case, its fishy.
