Calls and listens to me saying hello repeatedly and says nothing then hangs up

Hello this is Joe and I'm a trip to the gifting department and I'm calling on a recorded line can you hear me OK Hello this is Joe on a recorded line can you hear me OK.

Called my cell phone and I did not answer becuase, obviously, I didn't know how this was. I then typed it into google and it says it is a landline in Hawthorn, CA. I then called it from my work and it rang once, then quite, the the line went dead.

When I asked who was on the phone, they hung up.
