This person kept on calling and calling me and sending obscene text messages. Just would not stop it and I had to change my number as a result of the harassing.

I gave my number to a lady conducting a door to door water quality survey for a company I'd never heard of. After I wrote the number down (for purposes of 'winning a daily prize') she gave me a small card that said they now have permission to contact me by phone for their own business purposes, and I've gotten 2-4 calls per day ever since. I never answer when this number calls and they never leave a message. I need to just stop answering the door.
