Spoofing local number credit card scam

someones fax machine attempting to spam business fax machines with their unwanted junk faxes. . we have to loose a ream of paper a week this way!

Call came in at 7:16AM which by itself is suspicious and certainly not anyone that I know. It is listed as coming from Boston, but no name. Sent to voice mail, but none was left so it is not a call that I would ever answer.

They left a message saying to contact them on behalf of old insurance I used to have. Spam

Voicemail claimed they were calling from the US Treasury about tax fraud and I need to call them before my case goes to federal claims court in front of a magistrate or I get arrested. The IRS deals with tax fraud not the US Treasury and the IRS sends notices in the mail and has you call them. They never initiate contact via phone.
