soon as we picked up & said, 'Hello?', there is a pause (all too familiar nowadays) followed by a female automated voice that said, 'Hold the line, please. we have a ring for this no. ' There is another pause. clearly with a Calling-ID of 'INTL GATEWAY' we was not about to wait to see whether this is some way to route int'l rings to us at our expense & somebody elses profit. we put the phone down & did a search engine and, lo' & behold, we found this page.

th ey have been calling me for the last week or so, every time I pick up the person on the other side just hangs up after a few seconds (not the same amount of time always) they do not leave a voice message and when they do its just some background noise.
