Claimed to be from Social Security and my Social Security number has been cancelled

Called today 7/5/21 at approximately 1:57 pm the telephone rang several times and hung up did not leave a voicemail message on the answering machine did not attend to call as did not recognize the telephone number nor the area where the call originated f

person calling informed us these people were with the gov't attempting to give us financial aide.  I pray that we havent been spamed.

I got a call from this number; luckily i didnt answer but when i had tried to call it back the number was disconnected.
