Carl, I listened to your advice and I was detained for the charges Alan Parker had spoke to me about. I thought it was a scam, as you had said. I was pulled over for speeding and the officer came back and told me, I had a warrant for fraud by check, theft by deception, and hindering investigation. I was arrested and had to pay bail. I have to go to court for these charges and may have to spend time in jail and pay a fine. Alan had spoke to a firm about allowing me to pay restitution without being detained and I had set up a payment with the firm, but I chose not comply thinking it was a scam. I had told Alan about the FDCPA and he stated it was not a collection call. It turned out it was not a collection call and he was trying to help me out. Thanks Carl!!! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, because your advice may have me away from my children in 2012.
