Left an automated message. I need to return the call. This is a IRS phone scam

Looks like a spoofed number. Called and asked for a different name than mine. When I said they had the wrong number they said maybe I could help. Said they were from some sheriffs organization looking for donations.

Multiple complaints have been filed on 2020-03-25 with the FCC in connection with unsolicited telephone calls from 949-291-8507

Phishing scam using spoofed numbers pitching Medicare enrolement

I did get a text only, it read, Why are you trying to call me. And who were the people in the background laughing

Calling about a forgiving student loan. I don’t a student loan that I’m paying back.

This is a recovery agency that refers to themselves as investigators.
