Claiming to be investigating a fraud I committed. Saying a warrant will be issued to me. I called my local police department, who know me well, on good terms. They came and took a report, and everything. While she was here taking the report, they called. She answered the phone, identifying herself as a police officer. Thy hung up on her face. She called back and the number went to voicemail. She let them know we filed a report and they will follow thru on the matter. They never called again - neither has ANYONE like that, in fact. If you're on the do-not-call registry, and they call, they get in serious trouble for it!
