This number kept calling my cell phone and when I returned the call the man said he was from the social security administration and then asked for my name and when I questioned him he hung up. SCAM!!!!!

The problem with the Do Not Call lists is that it isn't permanent. It can't be. If you fill out a form anywhere or anytime (lets say for a contest or something) then your number gets back out there, typically sold from the company that collected it. It can even be from a Credit card app or car loan or just about anything. So I'm not saying these guys didn't violate the Do Not Call list, I'm just saying that they might not have. They got your number from somewhere. As for suing? It's not that big of deal. Just don't answer it. Better yet, ANSWER it and request to be taken off their list. You cannot win a law suit because they would either have to keep calling and calling and calling, or you would have to show damages, which you didn't have.
