telephone rings,answering machine picks up ,no reply with person calling three or four mins later identical thing happens

I answered the phone by saying hello. The caller said a word I did not understand. I said excuse me and the caller (female) said take it easy. I said you have the wrong number. The person kept talking and I hung up.
