There is no one at the other end, we suspect a marketing firm & the computer automatically called our no. rang a 2nd time & ended up leaving no msg. therefore we rang them- these people are a unnamed marketing company that requests ur telephone no. before giving any info we refused these people hungup

requested for our partner by name & soon as we stated she is unavailable, she put the phone down on us.

There is a scam going on where a person posing as one of your customers calls to get their sales contact name, and right after they ask for the business owner name, which is likely to be their actual target. They will then call you back later or another day asking for the owner directly pretending once again to be one of your customers in an effort to sell some sort of advertizing. In our case it was another number and they introduced themselves as UC Santa Barbara given we are based in California. The person on this most recent call introduced himself as part of Tennessee Tech University but the phone number was in NY!
