Caller identified herself as Cheryl Smith from Compass Bank, and she was asking for a person with the same last name as mine (not here, never been here, never will be here!) that she wanted to talk with about a bank account.

This caller wont stop calling me even after I have blocked them. They appear to have some kind of automated call routine that changes if you answer and wont stop.

Person claimed to be calling from Capital One. They asked for date of birth. I immediately hung up and called Capital One. Capital One had no knowledge of anyone making an outbound call.

SCAM. They wall with blocked caller ID and leave a message telling you to call 1-855-208-3439. When you call they tell you that you are being sued for breach of contract. When you ask them what contract and what company they are representing they say they need your Social Security Number to verify your identity . When you don't give it to them they hang up. They are trying to get your SSN so they can commit identity theft. Again, this is a SCAM.
