I tried out the following comment I saw on another site and it works to stop the calls so here it is; a do not call service for a small number of companies that call consumers that want to minimize complaints and save time not calling people who don't want to be called. Just call 866-246-7196, give the caller's phone number to confirm it's on their list and the receiving phone number to add to the do not call list.

I requested to speak to someone and asked to be taken off their list, and the person hung up on me before I finished talking.
