I did get a text only, it read, Why are you trying to call me. And who were the people in the background laughing

we want to recognise WHO rings us.

claiming to be from Social Security saying someone had used my SS at the border.

was this u? . hey?. was this mine baby?

we get a ring with this no. every few weeks. soon as we answer all we hear was silence. we have attempted phoning back however all we hear was a beep. was this a prank ring or a con or some thing else? Should we get this blocked or am we just worrying too much?

Got a call from a private number claiming he was with the IRS wanting info, my ssn and mothers maiden name. Also wanted to know what software I used to file my taxes. I hung up on him. Got a call 5 min later from a private number. I ignored, he left a message. It was the same guy. He said he was an investigator and was following up on a hot lead about insurance fraud and I may of gotten a call. I was to call this number to give them my ssn to confirm my identity
