Millions Call

Caller id: FRAUDULENT CALL Message was automated, and began by referring to FBI, but there was a quick hang-up when the caller heard my answering machine respond to the call. It did get me out of my chair and over to the phone. Good exercise I guess. If the phone company can identify the call as fraudulent, why can't my land screen out a spam call at the switching office like Google does with its voip phone service?

I could tell it was a scam just by the way the number had transferred as soon as I answered the phone. It makes a beep and a foreigner starts to talk

Someone called me from this number asking for someone else. I've told them there is no such person at this number. I got their fax number, faxed a 'cease and desist' and if they call again, I can fine them using my Pre-Paid Legal membership.  I can't wait.
