we got a sms msg that made no sense & sounded to be misdirected -- the person calling called our no. by mistake. The msg came at 10:48 pm & woke us up. There are no names in the msg. Various call-tracking internet services report that the ring was with a local landline, through MCI. we do not wanna get any such msgs.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from the Federal Government. This person told me that because I have paid my taxes on time for so many years, that I was being awarded a $7,000 grant. This person also told me to call another number and ask to speak with a Miss. Michelle. I contacted my daughter, who works as a research *yst and she back traced the call, and told me that the call was in fact a scam.
