they called me from lv and associats regarding a complaint that has ben issued against me..they told me they would drop the complaint if i make a credit card payment right there with them..i told them i didnt have a CD and they asked me if i can borrow one and pay it off because they didnt want to take me to court..i said its fine take me to court..they also said they had the sheriffs serve me a subpoena when i told them i never got it they said well because no one opened..thats a lie because there is always someone home..so i just ended the call letting them know that i will go to court just tell me the date and place..well they coudnt provide me with one and he said he would get back at me. They contacted me to get in touch with a family member saying they had sealed documents and that said person has been officially notified at the close of the call... typically if its a true legal matter they would send certified mail or a process server as notification, not call you. 888-959-9627 would not identify themselves, said it was a legal matter. When she said this, I told her she was being recorded. She said I could not do that. I said, well, I am. She got indignant, hung up. Did some research sounds like American Douments or LVV Assoc. They try to intimidate people by saying we owe money and they are going to take legal action. They contacted my daughter by her cell phone number to get info to me. They said they had legal documents for me and gave her a pin number for me to give when I called. I called them back, gave pin, and then the conversation went as I previously posted. I have no idea how they got my daughters contact information. I have worked for a common pleas judge for over 10 years. He said it is illegal for these people to harrass me, and they can call once just to verify employment, but after this call, they can be sued for $1,ooo.oo for every other time they harrass me with this ridiculousness.
