They responded to my Craigslist ad via text message....wanted to send me a cashiers check for the full amount....but needed my name and address to send the supposed check.....Texted them back and told them I wouldnt even accept a check from my own brother...much less a stranger.......and asked them if they really thought that I was that stupid......in closing I advised them that since I now have their number I would pass it on the my associates with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.....and that someone will be contacting them... Placed an ad on Craigslist. Received a text from this number, which is not from the area. The text had my exact ad title, no other words or changes, and then it asked if my item is still available for sale. In my ad, I said that if it is still up, then the item is available. This isn t the first spam I received due to the Craigslist posting, but the others were emails and this one deciphered my phone number even though I used a combination of numbers and words. Delete

I got a message regarding an item that I had on Craigslist. They were sending money via mail on Sunday. I told them OK. The money never came. However, today I received a text saying that the money was on its way and sent me a fake tracking #. I texted them back and told them the item was sold. BEWARE! There is a lot of scamming going on through Craigslist and PayPal. Please be careful with these because someone got me for $700:( Delete
