Identify credit card phone scams

Source: admin Release Time: 07:32:41 2018-09-06

The liar will pretend to be a credit card company and then give you a call and they will use various strategies to get your credit card information. For example, your card has a violation. Then let you confirm your credit card number, credit card security code, social security number, etc. Your information is stolen by them.

In some credit card frauds, scammers will ask you to use certain services, but to use the service you must first register an account and ask for credit card information to pay for the service. They are not actually providing services to you. Instead, they use your credit card information for fraud.

When you see a scam, another variant or a brand new scam will appear. But fact can be avoided. Regardless of the strategy used by the scammer, it is important to follow some guidelines to avoid being scammed by the phone.

1. Do not disclose any information about your personal or credit card, no matter how reasonable the phone is or what the other party is saying. If you think it might be your real credit card issuer, ask if you can reply to their call. If this is a scam, they may try to convince you to stay online.

2. If you have provided personal information, please call your real credit card issuer immediately. They can cancel your old credit card account and provide you with a new number of credit cards to prevent fraudulent charges on your account.

3. Check your account online regularly, read your credit card statement thoroughly, and report any suspicious activity to your credit card issuer immediately.
