False person pretending to be someone important

This was a call from a local Chicago market research firm, Smith Market Research with a cash offer to participate in a discussion group for the Art Institute of Chicago. They asked questions and then said they will call back to inform me if there was enough room for the group; they said they were above the quota.I will see what the follow-up is and post the information.

i have recived about six rings with this no. in the past few weeks. we do not reply cos we do not recognise the no. & these people never ever pass on a msg.

Ive got numerous rings with this no. over the course of the last 18 months. when we do not reply the phone, the person calling does not pass on a msg. when we do reply the phone, we recognise the line was connectd cos we can hear the faint static of a active connection however there was no one at the other end. soon as we ring the no. back, we instantly get a msg that says, 'Your ring cant be completed. ' this was clearly not a telephone firm msg.

The vm left on my cell is referring to a reference # It sounds like it’s legit & comes from phone number +1 (985) 326-2900. Is it a spam or legit?

Keeps calling all times of day saying I'm going to be arrested for a loan he hangs up then calls right back trying to get money out of me
