told I was dealing with a company in my hometown on the West Coast, but called from Alabama

Number calls and says they are calling about my credit card. It´s a machine. Says hit 1 to talk to a person. Then person comes on says they want to talk to you about your card rate. I told them I didnt have one. They immediatly hung up. It´s a phishing scam.
