Millions Call

This is the Ramsey County Library, usually calling to notify you that a hold you requested is ready to pick up.

These calls are coming from a call center in India. They email whitepapers from various companies trying to sell you something. They are getting around the SPAM laws by getting you on the phone and talking so fast in their second language (English) that you tell them to send you the email just to get rid of them. I get at least 10 calls per week from them, I just let my spam filter delete their emails.

Said the had order ready to ship out for items I looked at and to call 888 to verify.

When you answer the phone call, it automatically says for you to “Wait for a representative to answer the phone.”
