I received a call from this # yesterday (12/11/18) @1:20pm, Lasted 27 seconds. Caller stated that my social security # had been stolen and that they had identified suspicious activity.

Automated calls, but what is it?

Got a call from this number. I picked up but they did not speak.

My husband and I received a phone call coming from this number earlier on this morning and thought to post it all at this site

Someone called from this cell phone number, claiming to be with Massachusetts DTA/SNAP Program. She said she was calling to find out if I qualify for any of the state assistance programs. She went on to ask me several questions (my address, my weekly income, if I rent or own, who I live with, if I have any children...ect). I began to get suspicious that this could be a fraudulent call when she asked for my social security #. I did not provide that to her, and I asked if there was a # I could call her back on, or if she could arrange to call me back because I had a telecall appt scheduled with my doctor within the next 5mins, and wanted to be prepared for that. She told me she could not call me back, and that she couldn’t give me a # for me to return the call and she hung up abruptly. I called the state phone # for DTA/SNAP and reported this call to them, but have not had anyone follow up with me.

Caller leaves a nonsense mesg. but no name. Believe caller is hoping to get a call back. This number is listed on multiple 'who is this call from?' type sites. A collector?Often calls do NOT actually originate from number that shows on caller ID. Collectors and other slime can SPOOF (go to internet & learn about SPOOFING) a number into your caller ID.
